Reserve Health Readiness Program ( RHRP)

To improve the deployability of Army Reserve (AR) forces, the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP) provides an annual dental examination for all Soldiers. The program also provides treatment to all Army Reservists to maintain a dental classification of 2 or better, regardless of alert or mobilization status.

Army Reserve Soldiers are provided necessary medical and dental readiness services through the RHRP. The RHRP succeeded the Federal Strategic Health Alliance (FEDS_HEAL), which was created to assist reserve component forces with increasing their medical and dental readiness. Since its inception, the RHRP (and FEDS_HEAL) has been instrumental in improving the medical and dental readiness of the AR and its individual Soldiers.

RHRP services include immunizations (adult routine immunizations); physical examinations; Periodic Health Assessments (PHA); Post Deployment Health Reassessments (PDHRA); dental examinations and x-rays; dental treatment; laboratory services; occupational health services; vision screenings; auditory testing; and other services necessary to satisfy health readiness requirements.

Services through the RHRP are provided to AR Soldiers or units in one of three methods:

  • In-clinic event: Soldiers are provided a voucher to attend the necessary medical or dental appointment and are scheduled for an individual appointment with an RHRP healthcare provider.
  • Group event: units request medical or dental readiness examinations or screenings and RHRP healthcare providers dispatch to the unit location to provide the services in an SRP style event.
  • Call center: Soldiers are provided a toll-free number to call where they may complete a PHA or PDHRA.

PHA or PDHRA screens can be completed throughthe “My Medical Readiness” page in AKO, or by calling the below toll-free numbers:

PHA phone number:      888-697-4299
PDHRA phone number:  888-734-7299
